Final results

We left shortly after the last race and prior to the final awards. Neither the guys or the girls criteriums went as hoped. In peter's race, a 4-man breakaway started early and held on to a 20-second lead to the end. The only way that was successful was because all 4 were the top level pro riders. the lmc riders didn't have the legs to bridge the gap though they tried. No other team was organized enough to help them do it. 5 laps to the end Peter's left pedal fell apart. The neutral support service didn't have a bike ready with Peter's slightly non-normal pedals so he had to do one lap on the wrong pedals while they fixed his bike. When back on his bike he was as strong as ever and managed to stay in front of the winning breakaway and not get lapped which would have put him out of the race. Peter is very confident that he's in good shape for the u23's next month.

Mark was having a great time! He was hanging out with the three goofiest guys on the team - Rodrigo, Sondre', and Trevor. Rodrigo and Sondre had painted their chests with lmc colors and bobcat prints. Rodrigo was often wearing the Bobcat head and doing gymnastics while cheering the team.

We may make it back to Sheridan by dinner time. There was a big lightning storm in the middle of the night!
