Mixed material PCB

Dear  haile.david.amos,

Good day.

This is a courtesy email to let you know that PCB with characteristic impedance control is widely used in high frequency circuit. PCB's that mixed high frequency material can reduce signal loss at high frequencies and meet the development needs of communication technology.

Multilayer PCB vs Prepreg(PP)

Dear haile.david.amos,

Good day.

This is a courtesy email to let you know that a breakdown of multilayer boards show that it consists of 3 basic elements: thin rigid laminates, copper foils and prepregs sheets.

The prepreg has 3 main functions, that is to bond thin inner-layer laminates, to establish a dielectric spacing between copper layers and fill spaces and openings in the etched copper.

A very important issue is the practical build-up of the dielectric thickness between the circuit layers.

Multilayer PCB vs Inner layer laminates

Dear haile.david.amos,

Good day.

This is a courtesy email to let you know that inner layer laminates are to form the inner circuits of the multilayer PCB. They can be divided in 4 groups:

* double-sided innerlayer laminates etched on one side only
* double-sided innerlayer laminates etched on both sides
* double-sided innerlayer laminates with buried via holes
* innerlayer and outlayer laminate with blind via holes

The innerlayer laminates are produced in very much the same way as plated-through-holes boards. The main difference is that the innerlayer laminates are very thin and inclined to flexing during manufacturing.

2014 Year in Review

In reverse chronological order.

December

Peter flew in from Brevard, NC which meant all five kids were with us this year.

November

Helen's father, Bill Buckman, passed away on November 18th. Helen flew out immediately and Adam, Elaina, Mark, and Caroline and I drove the minivan to Los Gatos so we could be with the family. Peter flew in on Thanksgiving Day and the memorial service was Friday after Thanksgiving.

Dave visited Peter in Brevard, NC in early November.
